Product Design Engineer
The purpose of the Product Design Engineer is to aide in the design, functionality, and introduction of new products that meet established quality, customer service, safety, innovation and cost metrics consistent with Lokar’s reputation. This position will work closely with both internal and external teams. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, design and execution of new product platforms from proof of concept to production release and will include all aspects of the product design.

Scope of Position:
  • Leverage strong mechanical design skills to prototype and develop new subcomponents and systems.
  • Ability to create 2D and 3D models and familiarity with a wide range of materials and manufacturing techniques to turn concepts into production ready solutions.
  • Report project status to management team on a regular basis and identify risks and issues that may impact schedules and suggest countermeasures to ensure project timelines are maintained.
  • Control costs of manufacturing and quality. Address product design issues with respect to tooling and manufacturing with other team members.
  • Support full product lifecycle management and responsibility for transitioning products from engineering to production and service so they can be supported as standard product.
  • Ensure release and project documentation is current, complete, and located in the proper repository.
  • New Product development including engineering concept, design analysis, and problem solving.
  • Minimum B.S. Engineering, mechanical/electro-mechanical or industrial preferred. Automotive OEM experience or Aftermarket experience desired.
  • 5+ years designing 3D (physical) products. Proven creative skills in product design and problem solving (designs should demonstrate high level of innovation, cost effectivity and quality).
  • CAD experience required, SolidWorks preferred. Geomagic, CAM2, and FARO Arm experience also desired, but not required.
  • Experience with a range of materials and manufacturing processes highly desirable.
  • Good time management, organizational and ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects at once. Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), listening & leadership skills.
The purpose of the Custodian/Janitor role is ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation of the facilities on the Lokar property. Appearance and sanitation of our facilities is of the utmost importance to Lokar for our Employees, Customers, and other business associates.

Scope of Position may include:
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and stocking of restrooms and kitchen areas.
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, and showroom.
  • Perform cleaning and trash removal of all office and work areas.
  • Perform cleaning of exterior and interior glass of all buildings and offices.
  • Routine sweeping and mopping of warehouse areas.
  • General upkeep of exterior areas and parking lots (no gardening).
  • Non-routine maintenance tasks and projects.
  • Other duties and/or tasks may be assigned on an as needed basis.
  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years custodial/janitorial experience in a non-residential environment required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary.
  • Ability to handle various tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan and execute.
CNC Machinist Positions
Perform setup and operation of multiple Mills or Lathes in a clean manufacturing environment. This position would work closely with other equipment setups and operators to meet production goals for the Machine Shop.

Scope of Position may include:
  • Setup and operate various types of machines (lathes, mills, drills; CNC & Manual) without assistance and maintain proper tolerances.
  • Read prints and ensure quality products based on specifications with visual and physical inspection of parts using functional measuring equipment.
  • Complete work tasks as indicated by work orders and production schedules.
  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Manager.
  • Completion of Inventory and Production documentation with accuracy.
  • Maintain daily procedures around maintaining machine and facility cleanliness.
  • Work in a safe and clean manner by complying with procedures, rules, and company policies.
  • Cross training (Both participate in learning and teaching already known tasks/positions)
  • Other duties and/or tasks may be assigned on an as needed basis.
  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
  • Proficiency with CNC Controls.
  • Ability to use common machine shop measuring equipment (i.e. calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Understanding of general lathe and/or mill tooling.
  • General understanding of G-Code.
  • Experience on either CNC Lathes or Mills. Haas experience preferred, not required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary.
  • Ability to work independently.
